Post Tension Cables in Concrete Before making penetrations through an elevated slab, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was called to locate any Post Tension cables that would interfere with the drilling. There were multiple locations on several floors of the office building where plumbing and electrical holes were needed. GPRS was able to determine the location and depths of any Post Tension cables running through the potential drilling areas, marking out each cable on the surface. The contractor was then able to adjust their drilling points accordingly to avoid severing any cables.
